Staple Hemorrhoids Surgery
A prolapsed hemorrhoid is an internal hemorrhoid that protrudes from the anus. There is a grading system for prolapsed internal hemorrhoids and there are four grades. When grade 4 is reached either through neglect or because other treatments have been tried and failed, it is often necessary to treat these severe prolapsed hemorrhoids with a surgical procedure.

Once your staple hemorrhoids surgery has been completed and the medical staff is satisfied that all is well, you will be allowed home to recover. You should follow a few simple rules to ensure a good recovery:
Take pain relief either prescription from your doctor or over the counter if you feel the need and to make sure you get sufficient rest.
Take stool softeners or bulk laxatives if necessary to make sure you don’t have to strain to have a bowel movement.
Enjoy warm and soothing baths or simply sit in a large bowl or basin several times a day for up to 15 minutes at a time. This will also keep the anal area clean and hygienic.
Apply ice packs to the area to reduce swelling.
Avoid any strenuous activity and refrain from driving until you are sure you are not going to suffer any discomfort.
Keep any appointments for check ups that you doctor suggests are advisable.
Once you are feeling rested and well on to the road to recovery after your staple hemorrhoids surgery, make a concerted effort to change your lifestyle so that you always have a high bulk diet with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables plus bran and cereals; that you drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water every day; that you embark on a program of regular exercise; that you establish regular bowel movement habits and don’t spend more than a few minutes sitting on the toilet; and that you keep up this new lifestyle indefinitely so that you never again suffer from hemorrhoids.
