Candida
Treatment
Candida is a yeast infection
that affects both males and females. Small amounts
of Candida in the form of minute organisms are
normally present in our bodies all the time
but we usually have the right balance of bacteria
to prevent them from multiplying too much. However,
sometimes these yeast-like fungi do start to
grow and this can cause an infection. Such yeast
infections can occur in any part of the body
such as the underarms, the nails, the mouth,
the genitals and between the toes. They like
the warm and moist parts of the body. Most people
search for a natural yeast
infection treatment in order to rememdy
or cure the associated odor and lesions / rash
that can be assocaited with the condition. Often
yeast infections and candida can be confused
with vaginitis
- a condtion where the vaginal opening becomes
irritated by way of an irritant.
Up to 75% of women will
have at least one vaginal yeast infection (also
known as Candida or thrush) during their lifetime.
This is the most common type of yeast infection
and should be treated as soon as it is detected
as the infection can enter the blood stream
leading to sore joints, chest pains and even
sinus problems.
Balanitis is a male yeast
infection and is the inflammation of the end
of the pens in the area called the glans. Many
germs live on the skin in small numbers and
do not usually cause any harm. However, sometimes
they can multiply too quickly and cause an infection
such as the yeast infection Balanitis.
If sexual partners have
either Candida or Balanitis, the yeast infection
can be passed from one to the other during sexual
intercourse. In such a case, both partners would
need to have natural
products to avoid re-infecting one another.
Abstain from sex or use a condom while the infection
is being treated which should only take a few
days.
Those who are living
with HIV and AIDS can be very prone to yeast
infections.
Yeast infections can
affect all of us and apart from Candida and
Balanitis, we can all contract:
Mouth thrush where small
lesions appear inside the mouth and on the tongue.
Yeast infections
of the skin folds of the groin with a severe
itchy and red rash which can spread to the genitals,
buttocks and thighs.
Vaginitis in
females with white patches appearing on the
moist surfaces of the genital area and a milky
discharge.
Yeast infection
of the nails which are very susceptible to nail
fungus and the nails either become very brittle
and white with yellow coloring or if there is
moisture trapped in the nail plate, they may
be a deep green color. Yeast infections in the
nail eventually destroy the nail causing it
to lift off the actual nail bed.
Candida treatment and
other yeast infections treatments
There are some home remedies
you might like to try for yeast infections:
For yeast infections
on any part of the body, other than the vagina,
apply a fresh garlic paste directly on to the
affected area. Garlic is a natural antiseptic.
Plain yogourt
is another home remedy but this time for the
vagina. Dip a tampon in plain yogourt containing
acidophilus and insert it into the vagina twice
a day.
Repeat this until
one day after the symptoms disappear.
A few drops
of tea tree oil may also be used instead of
yogourt.
There is also
a natural healing product (available on line)
which is specially formulated from pure essential
oils to treat your Candida and yeast infections
in all parts of the body (for both men and women)
safely and successfully.
If you think about how
yeast infections usually appear in the warm
and moist part of the body, you can help to
prevent the onset of Candida and yeast infections
by following these helpful hints, some of which
are more appropriate for females while others
are geared for guys:
Avoid wearing tight
clothes or tight underwear
Wherever possible
use cotton clothing, underwear, sportswear,
and sleepwear as any synthetic materials that
trap moisture will make yeast infections more
likely to happen
Bathing and
hygiene routine is also important – it
is best to shower rather than bath. Make sure
all old skin, urine, sweat and other matter
is washed away.
Avoid dyes and
perfumes in soaps, shower gels, lotions, sanitary
products, laundry detergents.
Always go for the
fragrance free ranges where possible.
Chemicals found
in some condoms, spermicides and lubricants
can cause irritation.
Be aware of the various
Candida and yeast infections which can occur
so that the symptoms are recognized at the outset
and Candida treatment can commence as quickly
as possible. With a little care and a subtle
change in your lifestyle, Candida and yeast
infections can even be avoided altogether.
